Students learn key business and entrepreneurship skills, design a product, create a prototype, and develop a business plan. The Foundation provides funds to create the prototype. Students learn a lot from this experience.

Bill and Zorro presenting a William Stanley Foundation check to Randee Van Ness, Executive Director of the Skills Academy, which was founded to bring vocational training to the Special Needs community in Colorado Springs. The grant will be used to purchase the final piece of equipment for the Skills Café and Training Center. It will allow students to learn how to work in a restaurant kitchen and is one of the first steps towards a culinary career. The Training Center will assist in training 100+ students a year.
The William Stanley Foundation recently provided a grant to the Community Relief and Development Action nonprofit in Cameroon, Africa to help them provide textbooks for a school library. The school helps orphans and vulnerable and internally displaced children in the city of Tiko. The photo shows excited kids holding new books.
